By downloading, installing, or using Finzy Swimlog or the Finzy Coach Platform (together, "the Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.
If you are a parent or guardian providing consent for a swimmer under 16 years of age, you agree to these Terms on behalf of your child.
Finzy is a swim training and coaching platform developed by Sprout Media Limited, consisting of:
The mobile app can be used independently with all data stored locally on your device, or as part of a coach's squad where certain data is stored in our database to enable squad functionality.
You may use the Finzy Swimlog app without creating an account, in which case all data is stored locally on your device. To join a coach's squad, you must create an account using a valid email address.
When you request to join a squad, your request must be approved by the coach before you gain access. If the coach identifies you as under 16 years of age, parental or guardian consent is required before your account is activated (see Section 5).
Joining a squad gives you access to the app for free. If you leave or are removed from a squad, you will lose access to the app unless you join another squad or pay for an individual subscription. You retain a full copy of your training data locally on your device at all times.
When you are part of a squad, your coach can view your logged sessions, meet entries, mood selections, and any inputs you provide for coach-created metrics.
To use the Finzy Coach Platform, you must create a coach account with a valid email address and select a subscription plan. By creating a coach account, you agree to the additional coach responsibilities set out in Section 5.
Accurate information: You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating your account and, for swimmers, when logging your training sessions.
Device security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored locally.
Appropriate use: You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm other users, or to collect personal information about other users beyond what is made available through normal use of the Services.
Account security: You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Finzy applies a universal age threshold of 16 years. Swimmers under 16 require verifiable parental or guardian consent before their personal data is stored in our database and before they can access squad functionality.
When a swimmer requests to join a squad, the coach reviews the request and declares whether the swimmer is 16 or over, or under 16. For swimmers declared as under 16, the coach provides a parent or guardian email address. We send a consent notification to the parent or guardian explaining what data is collected, who can see it, and how it is used. The parent or guardian must actively confirm consent before the swimmer is granted access. If consent is not provided within 14 days, the request expires.

Swimmers aged 16 and over may create an account and join squads without parental consent. By creating an account, these users confirm that they are 16 years of age or older.
If you use the Finzy Swimlog app without a squad, all data is stored locally on your device and we do not have access to it. If you join a squad or create a coach account, certain data is stored in our database to enable the Services. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data collection, processing, storage, your rights, and our use of third-party data processors.
Microphone (Finzy Swimlog app only): The app requires access to your device's microphone for voice-to-text transcription, allowing you to log training sessions hands-free.
Notifications (Finzy Swimlog app only): The app may request permission to send push notifications to remind you to log training. You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
The Finzy Swimlog app provides AI-generated insights and recommendations based on your input data. These insights are for informational purposes only and should not replace professional coaching or medical advice. Always consult with qualified professionals for training and health decisions. Sprout Media Limited does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content.
Finzy Swimlog offers access either by joining a coach's squad for free, or through an individual subscription. Individual subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, with subscription management handled by RevenueCat. Subscription terms, including billing cycles and cancellation policies, are governed by the respective app store's terms.
Access to the Finzy Coach Platform requires a paid subscription. Coach subscription payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected plan. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Upon cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days in case you resubscribe, after which it is permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion.
The Services and their content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Sprout Media Limited and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without prior written permission.
Training data you log as a swimmer remains yours. Workout plans, session templates, and other content you create as a coach remain yours. By using the Services, you grant Sprout Media Limited a limited licence to store, process, and display this data solely to provide the Services to you and, where applicable, to your squad.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sprout Media Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from reliance on AI-generated insights, loss of data stored locally on your device, or actions taken by coaches or swimmers within a squad.
Sprout Media Limited does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Services and is not liable for any temporary unavailability.
If you downloaded Finzy Swimlog from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Sprout Media Limited, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Services or their content.
Swimmers: You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your device. If you have an account, you can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by visiting finzy.app/delete-account or by contacting us at hello@finzy.app.
Coaches: You may cancel your subscription at any time. You can request full deletion of your coach account and all associated data by contacting us at hello@finzy.app. Upon deletion, swimmers in your squad(s) will be notified that the squad has been dissolved.
Termination by Sprout Media Limited: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, including but not limited to coaches who deliberately misrepresent swimmer age status or misuse swimmer data. We also reserve the right to discontinue the Services or modify features at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or coach platform. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland.
